# Payment links

> Take payments without writing code: one link, shared anywhere, paid by anyone.

A payment link is a page at `pay.creptapay.com/link/<your-link>` that anyone can pay, as many times as they like. Put it in your Instagram bio, a WhatsApp status or a QR code at your counter.

## Create a link

1. In the dashboard, open **Payment links** and click **New link**.
2. Enter what you're selling and choose a price:
   * **Fixed price**: everyone pays the same amount.
   * **Customer chooses**: the customer types the amount, with an optional minimum. Good for donations, tips and custom orders.
3. Choose the link address, or keep the one made from the name.
4. Under **More options** you can ask for the customer's phone number and send customers to your own page after they pay.

You get the link, a WhatsApp share button and a QR code to download.

Links follow the mode you're in. Test links live at `pay.creptapay.com/link/test/<your-link>` and take test payments only.

## What the customer sees

Your business name and logo, what they're paying for, the price (or an amount box) and a short form for their name and email. **Pay** opens the usual Creptapay checkout, where they pay in USDT or USDC.

Each customer gets their own payment, so the link never runs out.

## After a payment

Payments through a link are ordinary payments: the same fees, limits, settlement and webhooks. Each one shows in **Transactions** with the link it came through.

Your `payment.created` and `payment.paid` webhooks carry the link in `metadata`, so your own systems can match orders to links:

```json theme={null}
{
  "type": "payment_link",
  "metadata": {
    "payment_link": "ade-store",
    "payment_link_id": "66f1c2…",
    "payment_link_name": "Ade Store T-shirt"
  }
}
```

## Turning a link off

Switch a link off from the list and customers see that it isn't accepting payments. Its history stays. A link that has never been paid can be deleted.

<Note>Changing a link's address stops the old address working. Share the new one wherever you posted the old one.</Note>
